Accept an invitation from your trainer

Your trainer emails you an invitation link — you click it and you're paired in a couple of seconds. No sign-in needed; the token in the link takes care of everything.

Before you start

Entry point: the invitation link emailed by your trainer (/invitation/accept?token=).
The invitation is valid for 24 hours — after that you'll need a new link.
You can only accept it if you don't already have an active trainer.

Steps

Open the invitation link. Click the link you got by email. The page opens below the "AweSome Trainer · Client invitation" header — from here it's all automatic.
Wait for the check. For a moment you'll see "Checking invitation…" while we validate the link. It's usually just a flash, and there's nothing you need to do.
You're paired. For a valid link we connect you with your trainer automatically, and the green "You are paired!" card appears with their name. From now on you can message each other and see their training templates.
Enter the app. Click "Go to the app" and you're in. This is where the work together begins.
If something's off. For an expired, invalid or already-used link — or if you already have a trainer — the matching coloured card tells you what to do next, usually to ask your trainer for a fresh invitation.

Tips

The invitation link expires after 24 hours — if that happens, just ask your trainer for a new one.

If you already have an active trainer, this invitation can't be accepted; the existing trainer relationship has to be resolved first.

An invitation is single-use: once you've clicked it and paired, the same link won't work a second time.

Troubleshooting

Symptom	Cause	Fix
"Invitation expired" (amber card).	The link is older than 24 hours.	Ask your trainer to send a fresh invitation — the new link is good for another 24 hours.
"Invalid link" (red card).	The link is broken or already used — an invitation can only be accepted once.	Request a brand-new invitation link from your trainer and try again with that.
"You already have a trainer" (orange card).	You have an active trainer, so a new invitation can't be accepted right now.	Talk it over with your trainer; once the existing relationship is sorted out you can switch.
